Tristan is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Algonquin College. Before massage therapy, he completed the Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant program at Algonquin.
Tristan consistently strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all in his treatment area. He is passionate about assessing and working with patients experiencing any musculoskeletal injury. Tristan is dedicated to finding the root cause of injuries and not just treating the symptoms. Being on the men?s volleyball team for 5 years at Algonquin, Tristan has seen and experienced many athletic injuries. He enjoys helping athletes return to sport and treating persistent injuries throughout their season. He not only has worked with athletes, but also has experience working with a variety of patients including seniors and patients with chronic pain.
Tristan uses techniques in his practice such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial techniques, stretching, PNF and joint mobilizations. Expect to receive stretching/exercise prescription working with Tristan, as he strongly believes in combining exercise therapy and manual therapy to achieve the best outcomes. He is also big on educating the client why they could be experiencing pain and why he chooses certain massage techniques and exercises.
In Tristan's free time he likes to stay active by playing volleyball, basketball, and weightlifting. He also loves watching the NBA, spending time with family and friends, and training his cats tricks.
